I believe we also beat Kentucky in their house that year. That was a special season for this program. I have a feeling we'll be back real soon.

I believe we also beat Kentucky in their house that year. That was a special season for this program. I have a feeling we'll be back real soon.
I was in Vegas at UNLV for a club volleyball tournament. In their gym they had a workout area with a huge big screen at the front of the room and they had the game on and our entire team was watching and luckily we got to watch the end of the game and we went nuts when he hit that shot. Everyone was looking at us like what the hell is up with them. Haha.
That trip to Tampa is still what I consider to be the best week of my life.
Dave & Busters for the USD party - great day, incredible game.
My family was visiting Washington, DC over the weekend. We were at a tiny local take-out place within sight of the Capitol at the time of the game.
I'll never forget it... I had to work and got home just in time to watch the last 1:30 or so. I was jumping around my living room like an idiot.
My second favorite sports moment of all time, right behind the 2003 WCC tournament final- only because I actually got to witness it live.
In Tampa at the top of the screen to on the left hand side.
I was at a bar watching the game by myself during my 3 hour "Lunch" i took from work.
I was at the Harrah's Sportsbook in South Lake Tahoe. I was wearing a USD sweatshirt, and after the game, various people in the sportsbook and casino kept coming up and saying congrats....it was great. I won a bit of $ on us....the only thing I regret is that I didn't take us on the moneyline. I then proceeded to drink quite a bit that day/night.
I was at the aforementioned Dave & Busters party... also drank too much, and ended up being on cbs 8 news in stunning high def predicting we'd blow through western kentucky and advance to the sweet sixteen.
If I recall it was Good Friday which meant a day off of work. The timing of the game worked out perfectly as my son (20 months at the time) was napping during the entire game so I was able to watch in peace... a stressful peace but no crying involved. He gave me a great gift that day as he slept all the way to the end until my screaming woke him up.
The game against Western Kentucky was on Easter Sunday. I thought we might have God on our side that game but couldn't pull it out. Good times.
As for the Kentucky game mentioned above. That was a fun day also. I am good friends with some UK alum and they had come over to watch the game. Needless to say, he did not go home happy
