That's a shame. BJ refuses to take a shot. Frustrating.

harbour? Has he replaced ginty as the "golden walk-on"? Miles knocks down two tre's which is nice.... were winning.... I think that shows the level of competition that LMU imposes.

BJ is not happy to be here. He is not running point. He sat for the first 5 min of each half and he isnt shooting. Not good

granted it's an undermanned lmu team but manresa playing like a beast on the boards and cameron miles playing more minutes with some swagger and some confidence is just what this team needs to get them going and build some momentum. hopefully this is a coming out party for those 2 and will spark the team and form some chemistry somewhat like what happened with the emergence of rob and trumaine during conference play when they were both freshmen.

Santa Clara is playing extremely aggressive vs. Gonzaga right now. ESPN 2. Good one to watch. SCU up by 9.

normally i would say "wow this is great-the toreros board is talking about watching gonzaga/scu during a toreros game"...with sarcasm of course...but i see we lost to LMU...which would mean the season is over for us...so yeah...watch gonzaga...at least they WANT to play basketball for the huge scholarships these kids get!!!
frustrated...the toreros are horrible to listen to or watch this season. and whoever doesn't want to play needs to be benched...i don't care what number is on their jersey; where they've been; or what they've done. basketball is a team sport and our players just don't seem like they get it.
this is total crap. brad holland doesn't look so bad now does he...??????? geeeeeeeez

My apologies if I jinxed the team but I am impressed with what I have seen the past 2 games from Rancifer, Miles and Manresa. Already knew we weren't going to win the conference going in to this game but hopefully we will have more confidence and chemistry moving forward both in the conference tournament and going in to next season.

honestly my expectations were low going into the LMU game, so i'm glad to see it looked like we took control for many parts of the game, especially answering a few of LMU's runs early in the game, but sad to see we fell apart again with just about 2 minutes to play not being able to put more points on the board. that last second steal was a miracle gift and we spoiled it with a fade away 3 by dj, which is not a bad shot, but if you're down 2 why not try and dribble drive for a 2, best case you make a basket and get fouled, worse case you do get 2 free throws to tie the game. give credit to the lmu defense and hanging in despite being down double digits... let's find a miracle in malibu...

Is it baseball season yet????????

Next year should be a better year. Ben Vozzolla is a very crafty offensive player. Having seen him play against some of the best comp in the summer circuit I can attest to his skills. Offensively he should fit into this system at the 2 spot. He should be a starter his first day on campus. Anything less would be a dissapointment.

I agree RS. Manresa, Miles and Rancifer definitely impressed in this game. The wheels came off the bus during the 2nd half but there were a few positives. For whatever reason, this team has a very difficult time closing out games.
On a side note, I love seeing Gonzaga lose. There's just something about it... Santa Clara is flirting with the upset still on ESPN 2. The Zags have won 22 straight WCC conference games. The last game they lost was in 2008, the WCC Championship @ the JCP vs. the Toreros.

I decided to head up for the game at the LMU's glorified high school gym.....some thoughts...
-That first half was really solid...one of the better ones we've played all season. The offense was really moving the ball and did a great job finding the open man on the outside.
-I was really impressed with Cameron Miles. He has a really smooth shot. It was great to see his hustle on the defensive end as well.....kid is QUICK. I'm really looking forward to seeing more of him.
-Manresa was an absolute beast out there. Outside of taking a couple bad threes, he really brought it tonight. He'll be a 4 year starter and a load to handle inside for the rest of his USD career.
-What was up with the last play call? Hold the ball until the 5 second mark and then have DJ take a highly contested three ball from the wing? We definitely could have drawn something up better than that.....
-I have no idea what to think of BJ. It was at least good to see him cheering and showing energy while on the bench, but that's not going to help in the "W" column. When he was in there, he never really looked for a shot. He had some nice drives and dishes, though.
-All in all, we probably should have won the game, but there were some bright spots. We definitely looked better than we have for most of WCC play. Let's hope this starts a nice little run for our Toreros.Posted 7 months ago # -
Hey ereiz03 glad u were paying attention on Manresa's bad threes...he made one and the other he shot because the clock was running down with our guards dribbling around aimlessly as usual. As far as I'm concerned Rancifer and Miles should be getting more minutes to develop for next year. Get these two athletes in the game and get our best player of the last two games the ball down the stretch.
